Oakchurch is a family-run farm in Herefordshire, specialising in fruit, beef cattle and our much-loved farm shop. It all began in the 1970’s, when Edward and Ros married and started building the foundations of what has since grown into the thriving business we are today.
We started with traditional mixed farming before diversifying into fruit growing and launching a popular pick-your-own (PYO) experience. Over time, that PYO venture has blossomed into today’s farm shop, which now includes a butchery, food hall, garden centre, restaurant, and clothing and jewellery departments, all now overseen by Nick.
At the height of our fruit production, we grew up to 1,500 tonnes of strawberries each season for supermarkets. In recent years, we’ve shifted our focus, becoming more selective about where our fruit is sold. Many top restaurants now feature our fruit at the heart of their seasonal desserts.
Today, we grow strawberries, raspberries, cherries and runner beans. Being a family-run farm of a manageable size means we can give each part of the process the attention to detail it deserves, often exceeding the standards required by large retailers. This dedication has inspired our new direction.
We believe in growing fruit that looks irresistible and tastes incredible. Every stage, from planting to picking, is driven by that goal.
Treat yourself to Oakchurch fruit, it’s fresh, flavourful and grown with care.
